Catastrophe

I was with some friends at their house and was handed this quote scribbled on a piece of paper.
Sums up my life in a nutshell

“I was born and bred on catastrophe; it’s the good times that worry me”

.
Does anyone know who quoted this?

  1. It sounds more like lyrics to a song than an actual quote, I did a search for it and absolutely nothing came up though. I like this saying actually, you should claim it as a tag line!

  2. Hi PO3TIC
Yeah, I think you may be right, I also thought it was a song lyric.
It might just sound familiar though cos as I said, a friend of mine wrote it down for me after hearing it from someone else πŸ™‚
    Thankyou though x

  4. I don’t know the author, but for most of my life that’s exactly how I felt. Now I can say I’ve had 4 great years–not perfect, not without dark days, disappointments, anxieties and frustrations–but I now have confident faith that the Good Days will return better than ever before, and they include “souvenirs” of what I learned during the valley times. I owe ALL of this sweet victory, hope and joy to the Lord Jesus–He said He’d never leave me, would always help me, and He’s been true to His Word. No intention to “preach”, just sharing. Bless you.

    • It’s always nice to hear a happy story and everyone needs something/someone to help them along in life so I’m glad that you have found God to believe in and to believe in you.
      Blessings to you too x
