Get it now?

Grab a plate and throw it on the ground

Okay… Done

Did it break?

Now say sorry to it

I’m sorry

Did it go back to the way it was before?

Do you understand now?

I was with some friends at their house and was handed this quote scribbled on a piece of paper.
Sums up my life in a nutshell

“I was born and bred on catastrophe; it’s the good times that worry me”

Does anyone know who quoted this?

Sticks and stones

Sticks and stones may break my bones
But words, they also hurt me
Sticks and stones break only skin
While words are ghosts that haunt me

Pain from words has left a scar
On my mind and heart that’s tender
Cuts and bruises now have healed
But it’s words that I remember

In plain sight

The best among us will learn from the mistakes of our past, while the rest will be doomed to repeat them. Then there are those who operate on the fringes of society, unburdened by the confines of morality and conscience. They are a ruthless breed of monsters whose greatest weapon is the ability to hide in plain sight. There are two sides to every person, one that we reveal to the world and another we keep hidden inside. A duality governed by the balance of light and darkness. Within each of us is the capacity for both good and evil, but those who are able to see the moral dividing line hold the true power

Weapon of choice

The greatest weapon anyone can use against us is our own mind

by preying on the doubts and uncertainties that already lurk there.

We should try to find the courage to release our deepest thoughts

or in the end, we will eventually be unable to recognise ourselves …

If we choose to, we can live in a world of comforting illusion.

We can allow ourselves to be deceived by false realities or we

can use them to hide our true intentions. All too often, we mask

the truth within us concealing ourselves for fear of losing the ones

we love or prolonging a deception for those we wish to expose.

We hide behind that mask which brings us comfort from pain

and sadness or we use it to hide a truth too hurtful to accept

The caterpillar

And just as the caterpillar thought his life was over, he turned into a beautiful butterfly

Life is the hardest exam you’ll ever have to take.
Many people fail because they try to copy others
not realising that everyone has a different question
Blowing out the candle of others will not make yours
shine brighter

When our heart speaks

We all hang onto people around us through fear of being alone but there must come a time when we must let go and move on from those who sadden us. If they were worthy of our love in the first place, they never would have put us in a situation where we would have to sacrifice who we are.

There is a big difference between those we love, those we settle for and those we are meant for.

We should never be ashamed to cry our hearts out as it is our heart that speaks to us when our lips can’t explain how we are feeling. No person has the right to condemn you on how you repair your heart or how you choose to grieve because no-one knows how much you’re hurting.

Keep your chin up
Keep smiling
And remember…
You may be the black sheep of the family but the white sheep probably aren’t as white as they try to portray
